De Kinderen van Juf Kiet plot
In Hapert in Brabant, Miss Kiet has put together a class within the local primary school with children of asylum seekers from countries such as Iraq, Eritrea and Syria. The children are anxious, sometimes even aggressive and in any case very traumatized when they come into Miss Kiet's class. But the safe, loving and inspiring environment of the classroom is healing. These refugees again become children who like to play and learn: not just words and math, but also how to solve problems together and respect each other's different origins and world views. In Miss Kiet's class, the whole world comes together, literally and figuratively.
