Wu Qingyuan plot
Autobiographical film about the Chinese Wu Qingyan, better known by his Japanese name Go Seigen, the most famous go player of the past century. Wu Qingyan emigrated to Japan in 1928 at the age of 14, where he reached the top within a short time. His struggles with the differences between the Chinese and Japanese cultures are further exacerbated when the Second Sino-Japanese War breaks out in 1937. The frustrated Wu Qingyan turns the go world upside down when he breaks the traditional rules of the game with groundbreaking tactics.
