Connie Ward is thrilled when Gene Morrison's music band comes to visit her hometown. She is also adorned by the band's handsome trumpeter, Bill Abbott, and marries him. She then travels on tour with her husband and the band and experiences first-hand what it means to be an 'orchestral wife'.
