Een Stukje Blauw in de Lucht plot
A documentary about the almost forgotten history of a million Sinti and Roma who died in the concentration camps during the Second World War. Filmmaker Bob Entrop takes the viewer on a personal quest into the past of the Sinti and Roma ('gypsies') in the Netherlands. The film is a journey in time: in the present, three people travel with a camera crew to Auschwitz, while nine others simultaneously revive the past in personal stories. It is the first time that they talk about their war memories. Because of the close friendships that have developed between the survivors and Entrop in recent years, they were willing to tell extensively about their experiences in the war. In beautiful images and sometimes fierce, but also exciting and gripping stories, the viewer is drawn into a piece of history that has remained silent until now.
