The Fan plot
"It covers a multitude of sins!"
Lord Windermere (Richard Greene) seems like a perfect husband to his young wife Margaret (Jeanne Crain). However, their marriage is put under strain when Windermere encounters Mrs. Erlynne (Madeleine Carroll). He gives her money and even invites her to his wife's birthday. Shocked, Lady Margaret seeks comfort from Lord Robert Darlington (George Sanders), who has long had a crush on her. Based on a play by Oscar Wilde.
