The Lieutenant Wore Skirts plot
Gregory Whitcomb (Tom Ewell) served in the military during World War II, but now earns his living as a television producer. His wife Katy (Sheree North), who is several years his junior, also served as a WAC in the military at the time. However, due to a lack of qualified military personnel, all veterans, including Gregory and Katy, are now being called up. To his horror, Gregory is rejected because of his health, while his wife is approved and re-enlisted in the army.
