Falafel plot
A summer evening in Beirut. Toufic is young, handsome and carefree. He tours the city on his scooter, looking for friends for a night out. He dreams of an ordinary life in a country where war has been going on for so long. Over the course of the night, however, he discovers that a "normal" life in Lebanon is a luxury beyond his reach. After twenty years of war, violence is still lurking around every street corner. A scratch on a bumper is enough to be threatened with a gun. Toufic takes a butt blow and then ends up in a spiral of violence. He gives chase to his attacker, buys a weapon and sets up... But like in a fairy tale, the enchantment follows: a shower of falafels (fritters made of dry beans and chickpeas) will turn the course of events.
