The Eternal Children plot
In early-century New York, they became friends, a group of musicians who above all share a sense of spirituality. They could never have imagined it themselves, their music seemed too unadapted for that, but now Anthony & The Johnsons, CocoRosie and Devendra Banhart are slowly but surely conquering the world. And that on their own terms and in their own free-spirited way. The central point of departure for director David Kleijwegt's film is CocoRosie's Brooklyn apartment, where Sierra and Bianca Casady are recording music for their new CD to be released next year. The eccentric sisters deliberately search for imperfection: they work with rickety cassette recorders, children's toys and distorted microphones, in order to arrive at unique music. A generous look at the colorful world of a group of 'eternal children'.
