Wen is a 24-year-old ex-con who returns home and tries to make it in a world that cares about nothing and no one. Once home, he runs into his old girlfriend who is now having an affair with his best friend. This angers Wen.

Black Snow has not become an unforgettable film. Not really a well-known film either and the reactions and interest here on MM only confirm this. At the time, it did receive a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
It is a film about isolation and rejection of a man who returns to society after a period in prison. Fighting against prejudices, he tries to make the best of it, but the pull effect of that dark underworld is great when it becomes (more) accessible.
The film is not very cheerful. Dark, raw and hard. In that respect it is certainly stylish and attractive.
