Ira Wells is an aging detective who is about to retire. But before that happens, he has to deal with two new cases: one involving the murder of his former partner and the other a hippie hoping Wells can find her missing cat. He soon discovers that the cases may be connected and the trail leads to a major crime boss in Hollywood.
