A budget horror comedy with a great John Hawkes in the lead role and a pleasant setting, but simply not enough financial backing. Director Daniel Erickson handles certain issues creatively, but doesn't capitalize enough on the haunt itself, preventing the adventure segment from dominating. There are too many different perspectives and the pacing is uneven, but the suspense is also rather half-baked. What remains is Hawkes' eccentric character, who provides some attention but fails to convey the ultimate goal convincingly enough.
