Opfergang plot
After a trip around the world, Albrecht decides to marry his niece Octavia. However, due to the family relationship with her, this marriage does not come easy for him and he soon gets bored in their dark villa. Then he becomes acquainted with the mysterious and beautiful Äls, who inhabits the nearby villa. With Äls, Albrecht now rides a horse every morning and begins to have warmer feelings for her. Octavia notices this and jealousy soon rears its head.
