Het Negende Uur plot

Singer Edward Schneider gets the chance of a lifetime: the rendition of the Christ part of the St. Matthew Passion. He has always performed in mediocre venues with his regular accompanist Jan and now he can sing the party of his life in the Valhalla of the music world - The Amsterdam Concertgebouw. However, because of his lavish lifestyle, he has a lot more problems with that than he thought. Conductor Agincourt firmly believes that it is impossible for non-believers to fathom the spiritual depths of the St. Matthew Passion. He seems to be right, but what no one has counted on is the need for love.
