Libby Caruso (Francis) desperately wants to become a singer and has trained for months, but her breakthrough and success does not come. Just before she decides to look for another job, she meets her dream man in the form of Paul Davis (Hutton). However, he has no eyes for her until she starts to become successful with her self-designed clothing line and appears in TV programs.

The film has a nice script with a solid pace. It really feels like a transition movie between the '50s and the more free-spirited '60s. There's quite a bit of innuendo between the lines, but it's never about it. Connie Francis proves herself not only as a singer but also as a great comedienne. In both cases, good timing is important. The other star is Jim Hutton.
In addition to comedy, the film has a nice soundtrack in which Connie (of course) brings some songs. Feel good and excellent airy screwball is this. A whole part of the cast of Where The Boys Are stops by here. Must have been fun.
