In het Belang van de Staat plot

The Kurdish poet Ibrahim Aziz and alleged member of the Kurdish Marxist-Leninist Front is trying to obtain a residence permit as a political refugee with the help of his lawyer Wies, who works at a Legal Aid Office. However, the Turkish government has requested extradition on the basis of charges that Aziz murdered a number of Turkish officers. Reason for the BVD to thoroughly investigate the case. Eavesdropping equipment, blackmail and threats increasingly corner Wies and Aziz.
