1928, Kentucky USA.....A terrible disease called 'The White Plague' (tuberculosis) killed more than 63,000 people. At the Waverly Hills Sanatorium, the infected were isolated from the outside world to conduct experiments on in the hope of a cure. To hide the enormous number of victims from the outside world, a 175 meter long tunnel was built through which the many corpses were transported to waiting trains. This tunnel was called the 'Death Tunnel' or 'Body Chute'. In 1960 a drug was discovered and the sanatorium was closed as a result. However, this monstrous building holds so many secrets that it is rightfully called the 'scariest place' on Earth. 'Spooked' tells the story of 'The Ghosts of Waverly Hills Sanatorium': The five floors, the 'Death Tunnel', the disease, the treatment rooms, the ghosts, the poltergeists, video recordings, photos, audio recordings, paranormal apparitions and a ghost hunt. But also: interviews with experts, former patients, former employees and historians.
