Kan Shang Qu Hen Mei plot
Qiang is four years old and a little rebel, armed with a pair of twinkling eyes and an unyielding will. It is not long after the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949. Qiang lives at a kindergarten in Beijing because his parents are rarely home. Kindergarten life should be an enriching experience, but Qiang finds it difficult to fit into such an organized, communal life. He does his best to follow the instructions of the teachers, but as a born individualist, that attempt is doomed to fail. And yet he, too, craves the little red flowers that are given out every day as a reward for good behavior.
