Kurtlar Vadisi - Irak plot

"War Without Rules"

On June 14, 2003, American troops arrive at the unofficial, more or less secret headquarters of the Turkish special forces in northern Iraq. The Turkish unit assumes that this visit by the Allies is of a routine nature. However, due to the changed circumstances, America has decided to pose as the sole ruler in the area and have the last word. That day, eleven Turkish soldiers are taken away with a bag over their heads. Lieutenant Süleyman Aslan is one of those soldiers. He cannot accept the violation of his honor by such surrender and commits suicide. He leaves a letter addressed to Polat Alemdar, a Turkish secret agent with an elite training. He cannot remain indifferent to his friend's last request and goes with a team to the scene.

Chaotic and ludicrous film full of dubious sketches, which unfortunately takes itself far too seriously. The wooden acting (only Zane actually does) and the awful soundtrack are up to that point, but the constant jeering and lack of action eventually kill the film. Far too long and uninteresting, although the film is a curiosity because of its angle.

A mild 1.5*.

Good movie. The film is simply telling the facts. Kurtlar Vadisi Iraq is based on real events, but is also partly fiction. You can see the true face of the Americans in this film.

Very unfortunate that I have to see racist comments towards Turkey and Turks as people's reactions to this film.

I also found the film itself very mediocre and very transparently pro-Turkish and overly anti-American, they were really portrayed as the false people in the world, as if they were demons. Fortunately, after 40 minutes, the constant demonization is over and the film becomes somewhat bearable.

By the way, I am Turkish myself. I really liked Veda on the other hand! Not so transparent
