Nice.

Not immediately expected, but one of the smoother American comedies. Often quite American, but here it seems to work a lot better than the average vulgar Rogen comedy. I can appreciate a movie like this much better from Rogen movies.

The acting in particular is much better and the actors seem to get a little more room in their roles to perform well. Long in particular makes grateful use of this. Not immediately expected, because usually as a comedian I only like him so-so, but here he really does it.

Hill also plays one of his better roles here as a comedy actor. He's genuinely funny here. As an actor I already know that he is good, but he mainly chooses the wrong kind of comedy. Here he is much nicer. Lively was fun too, a bit of an on-and-off actress for me, but here's an on.

The story is otherwise quite nicely conceived, ultimately unbelievable and ridiculously executed with a closing phase that almost reaches the pinnacle of unrealistic cinema. The story is therefore not too cleverly thought out, but entertaining to the max. High-school movies usually go well in it, and this one works a bit better.

Can honestly laugh here. Some transparent criticism of studies, but this is not taken too seriously and you can hardly take it seriously. Above all, it is a smooth high-school film that knows how to entertain and captivate. Also lasts exactly as long as it should. Not a minute longer. Nice Netflix snack.

Entertaining.

Accepted is a good movie from the high school/college genre. The moral of acceptance and self-fulfillment is pretty much on top of it every minute. Fortunately, that doesn't spoil the fun and fun that mainly the protagonists bring with them. With a running time of well over an hour and a half, the film never loses itself in tediousness. A sympathetic in-between is the logical end product.
