Partition plot
After the war between India and Pakistan in 1949, Private Gian Singh settles in a quiet place in Northern India. Here, however, he soon encounters 17-year-old Naseem, whose family has been torn apart by the war. Gian feels responsible for her and the two live together, even a violent relationship develops resulting in a child. But when Naseem's parents make themselves heard years later, the family is torn apart.
