Storm plot

The atmosphere at Mariska's home has changed drastically over the past year. Her parents can no longer talk, so Mariska (13) flees from this suffocating atmosphere. On the beach she meets Christiaan, a kite surfer, who gives Mariska a sense of freedom that she is increasingly giving in to. Mariska's parents' relationship is strained by her behavior, but even when her father leaves them, she continues to fight to force change in the family.
