Blush plot

Orpheus is a Thracian poet, famous for his playing of the lyre. His music has a magical effect. The nymph Eurydice, lover and bride of Orpheus, steps on a snake when she flees from Aristaeus, an unwanted suitor. She dies from the bite. Orpheus then attempts to rescue his beloved from the underworld. With his music he persuades Pluto to be allowed to follow her, on the condition that he leads her and will not look back.
