The muddled Sally Elliot gets a job selling cosmetic products door-to-door. Sally doesn't have much success, but things get even worse when one of her clients is murdered and Sally is seen as a suspect. Meanwhile, her fiancé, poor Humphrey, falls victim to a cleverly devised smuggling scheme at work. While the couple tries to stay out of the hands of the police, they go in search of the real killer.
