Lokis plot

Wittembach, a nineteenth-century pastor, is asked in Estonia to visit a young nobleman. The young man's mother has gone mad in her youth after an encounter with a bear. There are rumors in the village that the baronet is the offspring of the beast. Then the nobleman's wife is found with a bite.
