This is definitely a better Seagal movie in his "later" career.

He does his best not to be a B-movie and partly succeeds in this. Fortunately not cheap Eastern bloc junk, like many of his recent films.

In short, good to chew on a Saturday.

The umpteenth forgettable action movie (also came out on video right away) starring aikido expert Steven Seagal, where he is mainly filmed on the back and in close-up during the fights and so he probably doesn't do these fights anymore.

In the story, Harlan Banks (Steven Seagal) is a nice thief, who gives some of the loot to his poor fellow man. However, he has promised his girlfriend Jada (the busty Mari Morrow) that his days as Robin Hood are numbered. They move to Las Vegas, where Harlan gets a job as a driver from the evil Max Stevens (Kevin Tighe). Immediately on his first assignment, bullets fly past him and he also disappears behind bars, where he meets Ice Kool (Anthony 'Treach' Criss). The two manage to escape, and Harlan sets out on a revenge expedition.

All in all, a dime a dozen lame, predictable, cheap and simple action film, in which the necessary blows fall. Like most other later Steven Seagal films, there is no coherent plot and the action scenes are often substandard. After Steven Seagal in the Action / Crime film "Exit Wounds (2001)" was seen together with rapper DMX, he is now joining hands together with hip-hop singer Anthony 'Treach' Criss. Furthermore, a very young Chloë Grace Moretz also has a role in the story.

All in all a pretty bad movie Action movie with Steven Seagal, which is actually not worth watching (fortunately only lasts about 90 minutes).

As a 16 year old this was a great Seagal movie for me, now 12 years later it is a lot less.

It's still entertaining enough and looks pretty easy, but the film also has its slow moments.

Seagal gets familiar sarcastic one-liners again, some are quite nice but others of a questionable level.

The story is of course also simple, with some cliché full plot twists, but the whole is fortunately kept fairly light.

It's mindless entertainment, but you can certainly hit them worse

2.5*
