When Charles and Rose's parents die, Charles makes sure his sister has a good home. Rose is popular and doesn't lack attention, but true love seems to elude her. When she finally finds someone, the relationship quickly ends. Discouraged, Rose flees to Paris, hoping to start a new life there.
