My first Polonia... I don't know if that's something to be proud of, but on the other hand it's nice to see that the brothers are living their childhood dream by somehow making enough money from this kind of films manage to convince them that they can be full-time filmmakers.

Their debut Splatter Farm is a minor cult hit, so I was shocked that they released The House That Screamed almost 15 years later. Because this is so unprecedentedly crazy... How bad something like Splatter Farm must be. It is also incomprehensible that this simply had a Dutch DVD release while there is so much fun pulp that is simply hard to find in these parts.

I was hoping for a lot of cheap gore, but what you get is a very boring story in which simply nothing happens. The sporadic gore effects that they were able to create (a severed head and a hand with a nail through it) are constantly repeated throughout the film.

No, not even so bad its good. This is just disturbingly bad garbage.
