Montreal, the 1920s: Life for the Orthodox Jewish boy David is not always easy. Because his father has no work, they are not very well off, all adults seem to regard him as a nuisance and he hardly has friends his own age. His best friend is his grandfather. He tells him beautiful stories that help him deal with daily reality.
