The story centers on Michelle McNally (Rani Mukerji), who in her second year of life suffers from an illness that eventually affects her eyesight and hearing to the point where she becomes visually impaired. Her life has been in a darkness ever since that she sinks deeper and deeper into. The frustrations grow in young Michelle's head and the loneliness and incomprehension of others make her an aggressive and closed lady. But fate has something else in store for her...
