La Petite Chartreuse plot

Etienne Vollard is a bookseller with a passion for the mountains and with what is said to be an extraordinary memory. He leads a previously withdrawn life until the day he accidentally knocks over an eight-year-old girl. Between Eva, whom he goes to visit her sick bed, Pascale, the young mother who is going through it, and Vollard - the 'storyteller', but at the same time surrogate mom and dad - the miracle of the prince on the white horse gradually grows.
