Szegénylegények plot
In Hungary, the national movement led by Kossuth has been defeated and Austrian hegemony restored, but partisans continue to carry out violent actions. To exterminate these guerrillas, the army rounds up suspects and locks them in an abandoned fortress. The authorities do not have the identity of the guerrilla leaders, who should be among the detainees. However, they know enough about some suspects to use coercion effectively.
