Joe Calvet is a brave but highly myopic American. Because of the problems with his eyes, he sometimes gets into trouble. One day, he accidentally dons the coat of Slim, a notorious hit man. Unsuspectingly, he steps into the subway where the revolver in his pocket, accidentally, goes off. Joe is caught and immediately considered the godfather of crime. In the press it is said that public enemy No. 1 has finally been caught. Gangster girl Lola convinces Tony Fallon, a real-life gangster, that Calvet is the infamous invisible leader of his gang...
