'I've got that Tupper feeling all over me, all over me to stay!' The Tupperware Ladies of yesteryear can still sing their anthem. With plenty of archival footage full of beaming faces, talking heads and commentary from Kathy Bates, TUPPERWARE! back to the fifties, years of an unshakable faith in progress. In New England, plastic manufacturer Earl S. Tupper designed these handy storage boxes in cheerful pastel shades, with a lid that closed perfectly. A new line of kitchen products was ready. Bringing to the woman was the next task that the shrewd Brownie Wise plunged into. From her headquarters in Florida, she ran a growing army of colporteurs, who had to entice purchases at special home gatherings. The Tupperware Home Parties became a household name. For housewives, they offered the chance of a nice side income (sales) or a short break from the routine (purchase).
