Sevmek Zamani plot
While painting a villa, Halil sees the picture of a woman and falls in love. His love becomes so great that from now on he goes to the villa every day to sit and look at the photo for hours. One day, Meral, the woman in the photo, suddenly comes to the villa and falls in love with Halil again. But Halil does not return her love. "I fell in love with your photo," he says, "You are not your photo."

A beautifully filmed love drama that borders on melodrama, with very little dialogue and a prominent soundtrack.
The film is set in winter, so we see Turkey with rain, wind and snow.
Beautiful sad atmosphere that is maintained throughout the film.

It's because they speak Turkish, but the film could easily have been Greek, Spanish, or Italian, with those locations and the way everything looks. It's all quite Western. It's beautifully shot, too, and it's a fun concept. And with all the rain and snow, it adds a certain atmosphere. The film doesn't quite work, though, because the acting is rather stiff, especially by Kenter. The ending also feels a bit rushed, in my opinion. Rounded up, 3.5 stars.
