Tueur à Gages plot
Marat works as a driver for a mathematics professor, and his wife has just given birth to their first child. On his way home from the maternity hospital, his eyes averted for a moment to the baby, he drives a dent in a showy Mercedes in front of him. To avoid being reported, he has to pay for the damage to both cars. But he doesn't know how to get the money. When he is visited that evening by a vigilante who urges him to make haste with the payment, he resorts to the services of a loan shark, who lends him money at an absurdly high interest rate. Meanwhile, he loses his job because his employer commits suicide. In order to be able to pay back the amount, he borrows even more money, with which he wants to try his luck in the car trade. But he is getting deeper and deeper into debt. The only way out of his strangulation contract is to liquidate one of his creditor's enemies.
