Rok Spokojnego Slonca plot
Shortly after World War II, American soldiers arrive in a Polish village. They investigate war crimes and that causes a lot of commotion. However, one of the American soldiers falls in love with one of the girls from the village. It turns out to be a beautiful relationship. But then it's time for the Americans to leave.

Very mediocre.
Haven't seen much Polish cinema yet, but do you still have some sort of image of gray sadness when mentioning that a film is Polish? Well, you probably owe that to these kinds of films, because it really fits the cliché perfectly.
A rather gloomy drama about an American man and Polish woman who find each other. Of course their relationship is very difficult, the rest of the drama is very predictable. It doesn't have to be that bad, but it should feel like it. And it didn't really.
Acting is really mediocre and the drama is occasionally a bit corny, despite the otherwise gray setting. That last scene, for example, is really not okay. The bond between the two only takes shape and in the end the ending didn't interest me either. The film focuses heavily on the characters, but they just remain too sterile.
Visually sometimes neat, but also very often boring and expected. As for the soundtrack, basically the same story. No, there is basic quality in it, but nothing more.
