A deranged doctor is shot dead and left in his lab in an abandoned wing of a hospital. A little less shouting would also have been nice. Jeezus. In the subgenre of madhouse horror films. Late eighties, it does indeed breathe a bit of Re-Animator. Often ugly shots with those hospital corridors all the time. Finale is still nice. The nicest gimmick was the cover of the VHS version, which contained a battery so that the doctor's eyes also light up on the VHS cover.

A tall woman in a short shirt.
I once read that somewhere as the description of the ideal woman, and Cheryl Lawson really fits that perfectly in this film - and that short shirt also looks great on her, as she skips through the endless corridors of the abandoned insane asylum runs. Obviously, the bad guy doesn't need more than a relaxed gait to keep up with her.
Too bad the rest of the film doesn't reach that level. The plot is already half finished, so the next genre will be added. Add some over the top lame quotes, and then the slightly too long playing time of about 100 minutes is still on the very long side.
Also a pity about the overly exaggerated soundtrack. Only the sinister sound of the bell tower is completely okay.
