The Appointment plot
Lawyer Federico Fendi thinks he has finally found the love of his life when he meets the attractive, charming Carla in Rome. However, she turns out to be engaged to Federico's school friend Renzo. When Renzo suddenly breaks off his engagement to Carla, Federico sees his chance. But he finds himself in great conscience when he discovers why Renzo and Carla's relationship has broken down.
