Die Wälder Sind Noch Grün plot

Inexperienced soldier Jakob Lindner and Captain Jan Kopetzky are the only survivors of a massive Italian attack on an Austria-Hungary lookout. The captain is badly wounded and it is impossible for Jakob to stand without help. It would be wise to flee, but headquarters decides otherwise: the post must be defended at all costs. The pressure on Jacob is inhumane. Still, facing death, he must find a way to endure the devastating Italian violence on his own.
