A Family Affair plot

From an early age Tom Fassaert has been fascinated by his grandmother Marianne, who lives in South Africa. All he knows about her is based on his father's mythical and mostly negative stories. She was a true femme fatale who devoured countless men, and a famous fashion model in the 1950s who placed her two sons in a children's home. And she was a mother who decided overnight to emigrate to South Africa, far away from her family. The moment his father and his 95-year-old grandmother come into conflict again, Fassaert becomes intrigued again by his family history. During this period, his grandmother also asks him to come to South Africa to help her with her will.
