One of the most crazy Full Moon movies I've ever seen. It makes no sense at all, but it's definitely entertaining. The effects look really fake, which increases the entertainment value. Nice movie!

Bad Channels is directed by Ted Nicolaou. Producer and co-writer is Charles Band. The collaboration not surprisingly results in a trashy B-movie that is reminiscent of science fiction films from the 50s with the same bad effects and themes. A film with an alien that is a threat. But then in a comedic vein. A film that does not actually offer hard horror and bloody action but tones these aspects down with the help of comedy. And with the help of the bad effects

The film consists of a hodgepodge of familiar storylines strewn over a basic situation that places a radio station DJ at the center of the action. The DJ is an eyewitness and reports on the attempts of an extravagant alien to shrink, bottle and abduct young ladies to outer space. His listeners think they are listening to a ridiculous radio play staged by the DJ who is known for his provocative stunts. It is a ridiculous plot but it is entertaining.

It is what it is. Behind the confusing events there are no socially critical issues, no philosophical thoughts or ambiguous wisdoms. The film simply wants to offer mindless entertainment. And it succeeds, as far as I'm concerned.
