De Kollega's Maken de Brug plot
An unsightly department of the Ministry of the Interior is housed in a dilapidated building somewhere in the capital. Only insiders know which insignificant files are handled there. Director Tienpondt is a gentleman waiting for his retirement. The department is populated by colorful figures: service chief Persez, sub-office chief Verastenhoven, draftsman De Pesser, clerk Van Hie and archivist Jomme Dockx. Karolijn Van Kersbeke is the director's secretary and Betty Bossé is a typist. In the hallway next to the elevator is messenger Baconfoy. A day off will be added between Sunday 9 and Tuesday 11 November. Baconfoy deposits the service note in this regard at Persez's desk, who does not read the note. The colleagues therefore all appear neatly at work on that Monday.
