Blood Rage plot

"Not all the evil is on Elm Street ..."

Maddy (Louise Lasser) is a mother of 20-year-old twins, Todd and Terry (Mark Soper). During a night at the drive-in movie theater, Terry escapes and kills an innocent person. Terry blames Todd, who is then put in an institution. Ten years later, Maddy is planning to remarry when she receives a phone call informing her that Todd has escaped. When Terry hears about it, he starts planning another series of murders.

Criminally underrated! One of the best obscure slashers from the '80s. Richard Einhorn's phenomenal synthesizer soundtrack elevates this über-gory and zany twin-brother slasher to an even higher level. Fantastic release from Arrow.

A high-level slasher with a touch of psychological drama and well-shot kills with brutal gore!

The film sets the tone in almost record time with a fair amount of brutality and good make-up effects!

The psychology voiceover at the beginning of the film was also an interesting addition and took a little getting used to at first but ultimately a nice addition.

The acting is classic 80s over-the-top again. Just how I like it! Mark Soper delivers a fantastic performance as Todd & Terry! Louise Lasser is also incredibly strong as the mother (Maddy)! It's also wonderful how much fun Terry has with the murders and all the drama surrounding them!

Really cool story and perfect ending!

The film is certainly not flawless and certainly not always logical, but it all fits so well into the overall picture and complements the bizarre story.

Sometimes imperfection is perfection!

☆5.0 (partly thanks to the ending)

2 young brothers, still children, one of whom commits a brutal murder and blames it on his twin brother, the premise seems promising but the plot holes are huge right from the start and the questions why, for example, the fingerprints on the axe are not looked at to unmask the perpetrator are ignored.

A potentially good horror that is badly ruined, even afterwards, by the very mediocre execution and the almost even more mediocre acting of almost the entire cast, almost no actor or actress plays with any conviction, the action is also very weak, it is occasionally made very easy for Terry because his victims often just stand still, but the action scenes are also just technically poorly executed.

The only thing that is convincing are the sometimes quite gore effects.
