De Zaak M.P. plot
The somewhat timid Brussels resident Camiel (Albert Mol) steals the Manneken Pis (MP) statue. By finding the thing stolen by himself like a true hero, he hopes to impress his father-in-law (Ko van Dijk), who attributes important national significance to the statue. Dutch students are now suspected of committing the theft because the Netherlands lost to the Red Devils at football in 'De hel van Deurne'. After the alleged Dutch theft, a revenge expedition departs from Brussels to the north and the statue of 'Hansje Brinker with the finger in the dike' is stolen from the IJsselmeer.
