Ghost Squad plot

Charlie, Alex and Nick grow up in a small town. Forming the "Elite Monster Unit", they don't make themselves popular with the other kids, who don't like chasing infamous legends and ghosts. Making matters worse, Charlie has a crush on Brandy, a popular girl who is the sister of one of the school's biggest bullies. An entertaining children's horror film with a lackluster execution. Director Joel Souza clearly didn't have unlimited access to financial resources, meaning this film never truly delivers on atmosphere or suspense. The old house looks incredibly cheap, the Halloween theme is barely touched upon, and the special effects are also poor. Fortunately, the cast members have a good time with their bickering, and the film never drags on too long. There's bound to be something for a younger audience, even though Ghost Squad quickly pales in comparison to horror projects from the likes of Nickelodeon.
