The Strong Man plot
A young soldier returns from the war and sets out in the big city in search of the girl he only knows from letters. He finally finds her in a town that he saves en passant and involuntarily from a bunch of villains. In between, he is used as a front man by a group of mobsters and becomes the assistant of a powerhouse.
