Zinloos plot

Martin Hogeveen has it well together: he has a thriving consultancy and a young beautiful girlfriend, Carina. It goes even better when he issues a report on illegalities at the Public Works Department of a fast-growing municipality. That costs Verlinden, the Head of the Service, his head and the municipality asks Martin to take over his post. But his beautiful life is in jeopardy when, in a thoughtless moment, he kills a young man who is annoyingly imposing on him.
