Le Streghe plot

Five different stories about witches. In "La Strega Bruciata Viva" a beautiful actress invites the press to a hotel in the mountains for a few days. The men there adore her and the women are jealous. In "Senso Civico" a woman gets stuck in traffic due to an accident. She decides to take the injured man to the hospital. "La Terra Vista dalla Luna" is about a grieving father and son who seek a replacement for their deceased wife/mother. They find a deaf-mute woman who initially satisfies perfectly. "La Siciliana" is about a woman who has been wronged and her father who takes revenge and in "Una Sera Come Le Altre" a woman complains to her husband about her dull marriage.

Wonderful imaginative collection of short films, from some of Italy's best directors.

With the exception of Visconi's film (which was nice, but not anything special), all the other films were very funny and definitely worth seeing.

Morricone's music is truly magnificent and gives it a typical "swinging sixties" feel. And Silvana Mangano is beautiful in all the stories!
