I don't think Alaimo really knew beforehand what kind of film he wanted to make. This "horror" film feels more like a family drama in places. Something that stems mainly from the concept that a family has to take on a demon. The setting doesn't make the film much faster. Almost everything takes place in the same house, and if a film is suspenseful or scary, something like that can work. However, it doesn't work when the suspense is lacking and the jump scares are far from scary. The whodunnit subplot with Eric Roberts doesn't work either. A film to quickly forget.

What a worn-out piece of trash..... I do like films in this subgenre, but this is cringe-inducingly bad in every respect.
From the acting to the script and the so-called scares.......a disaster 
That there are people who even attempt to make a film in this way is a mystery to me.

Unfortunately, yet another mediocre horror film about exorcism.
With the exception of Sienna Guillory, the cast fails to convince. It is a great pity that Eric Roberts participated in this rubbish. The build-up of tension is mediocre, the story lacks creativity, and the film is boring to watch.
