Questi Fantasmi plot
"If you were a ghost in Sophia's house you wouldn't stay in the attic either!"
Pasquale (Vittorio Gassman) and Maria (Sofia Loren), husband and wife, live in a palace that is haunted by ghosts (according to the locals), and therefore pay no rent. When Pasquele finds some food in a bookcase, he thinks ghosts are at work. In reality, it is Maria's lover, a very wealthy businessman, who showers her with gifts.
